Context
The auction of the 4th round of concessions from federal airports, when the Federal Government offered the airports of Porto Alegre (RS), Fortaleza (CE), Salvador (BA) and Florianópolis (SC), was held on March 15, 2017. Fraport won two of the airports, Porto Alegre (RS) and Fortaleza (CE) starting to operate airports from the signing of the contract with ANAC. Even before the signing of the contract, Fraport began the process of study and planning for expansion for the period 25 years to Porto Alegre Airport, developing the conceptual expansion projects for the airport.
Description
INFRAWAY was hired by Fraport Porto Alegre to develop conceptual studies and management of the development of the Preliminary Project for the first phases of expansion of the airport.

Our role
INFRAWAY was responsible for the preparation of conceptual development projects of Porto Alegre airport for the period of 25 years of concession. The project conceptualizes encompassed the development of engineering disciplines on the air side of the airport (geometry, paving, drainage, horizontal signage, lights, night marking, navigation and electrical aid), in addition to the quantification of investment costs for all phases of airport expansion.
Once the investment phases were defined, INFRAWAY was responsible for managing the development of the preliminary project for the expansion of the airport for the first phase of expansion, called in the contract as Phase-IB. In the preliminary phase INFRAWAY managed the development of the products, supporting the various stakeholders (teams of operations, security and third parties) and accompanied Fraport in the project interface with ANAC, having participated in several meetings to alignment and adequacy of airport needs to ANAC regulations, mainly RBAC 154, RBAC 153 and RBAC 107. The for drafts were delivered and approved by ANAC and served as the basis for the preparation of basic and executive projects that later supported the expansion works of the airport that began in 2018.
