Following the signing of the agreement, upon assuming the operation of the airports of Porto Alegre and Fortaleza in 2017, Fraport Brasil began the airport development stage, provided for in the concession agreement, in which it is responsible for planning and implementing improvements airport infrastructure.
After working with Fraport AG, in the Conceptual Projects of the Air Side and elaboration of the PGI of the two Airports, INFRAWAY was hired by Fraport Brasil to prepare the preliminary projects for the expansion of runway of the Airports of Fortaleza and Porto Alegre for delivery and approval of the civil aviation agency ANAC (National Civil Aviation Agency) during the PHASE I-B.
INFRAWAY developed the preliminary project for the expansion of runway (920 m for POA and 210 m for for), which involved the projects of the geometry, airport signs and marks, NAVAIDS, simulation of aircraft trajectory and safety zoning. Then, final documentation of the Preliminaries runway expansion was presented for approval at ANAC, in addition to the preparation of the publicity material for the airlines also for approval.
