Context
After assuming the operation of the airports of Porto Alegre and Fortaleza in 2017, Fraport Brazil initiated the stage of development of airports, foreseen in the concession contract, in which is responsible for planning and implementing improvements in the infrastructure of Airport. Among the contractual obligations is the presentation of the engineering pre-project for Anac.
Description
INFRAWAY was contracted by Fraport Brazil to elaborate the preliminary plan of expansion of the runaway of the airports of Porto Alegre for approval at ANAC (National agency of Civil Aviation).

Our role
We delivered the preliminary plan of runway extension of POA (920 m), for IFR CAT II operation, for CAT I operation. Both for code 4E aircraft.
We also designed the geometry, airport signs and marks, NAVAIDS, simulation of aircraft trajectory and safety zoning of preliminary plan.
In addition to the disciplines of the preliminary plan, we were responsible to release the airlines projects for Civil Aviation Brazilian Authorities (ANAC).
Annual Movement: Porto Alegre (POA): 7,9 million passengers per year (pax/year); 65,4 thousand movements per year (mov/year).
